Class Policies, Payment, and Tuition Information:
Tuition: Tuition is due by the first of each month. If accounts are paid after the tenth of the month, there will be a $10.00 late fee applied to the account balance. There is a $25.00 returned check charge for any checks returned by the bank. Tuition is based on a flat fee for the year billed in four-week sessions, not the number of classes per month. We do not prorate months for missed days, holidays, or school vacations. There is an annual $25.00 registration fee per student ($40 per family) due upon registration. Payments may be made by cash, check, or credit card. Please see the pricing list below.
Class Placement: All placement decisions by the instructor are based on class participation, attendance, progress, ability, and consistency. It is not unusual for a student to remain at the same level for more than one year. Each student has a rate at which they will progress physically and mentally. Please respect the instructor’s knowledge of where your child should be placed in each year of their dance training. A student who is placed in a class that is too difficult or a level that is not appropriate to their working ability will lose interest in their development as a dancer or hold the class back from progressing. The directors and instructors of Dance Dynamic LLC want to further your child’s training as a dancer and want them to enjoy dance for many years. Parents may request a conference to discuss student progress.
Appropriate Attire: *Upon entering the studio all students must have hair in a bun or high ponytail and dressed in appropriate class attire (Leotard without skirt and tights or nylons). Classroom Rules: All students are expected to uphold all classroom rules at all times. Attendance and Participation/Tardiness: Dancers are expected to be on time for class with hair done & shoes on when they enter the classroom. Important warm-ups are missed if a student is late, and injuries could result. If a student is more than 15 minutes late (without notifying the teacher 1st), the student must ask permission to join the class and may sit and observe the rest of the class but will not be allowed to take the class. Students are expected to be ready for their lessons. This means a student is expected to arrive, warm up, and stretch at least 10 to 15 minutes before a lesson or rehearsal begins. This transition period assists in one’s focus and physical well-being.
Absences: Students need to call the studio at (603)817-4912 to let their teacher know if they are going to miss class. We do not give credit towards tuition for missed classes.
Class Cancellations: Dance classes will follow the Rochester School District cancellations due to inclement weather. If cancellation is necessary, a message will be left on the Facebook page, and an email will be sent. The studio may provide virtual classes for all class cancellations due to inclement weather.
Add/Drop Classes: Dancers must complete an Add/Drop form in order to make any changes to
their original dance schedule. Forms are available at the front desk. Your “drop date” will be effective on the 1st of the following month. In order to drop a class, you must turn in a Drop form no later than the 15th of the month before your drop date to avoid being charged another month (i.e. drop no later than November 15th to be effective December 1st). There are no refunds to your Automatic Monthly tuition if the Drop request is not received 15 days before your drop date. Add/Drops made by phone will not be accepted. Students wishing to add/drop/change a class must first confirm with the Front Desk staff regarding availability and get instructor approval. A parent may email a detailed Add/Drop request to dancingdynos@gmail.com in which case you will receive an official email reply from us letting you know that we have received your email and that your drop request has been processed. All Registration Fees and Monthly Tuition are non-refundable.
Class Observation: NO visitors/parents are allowed inside the classroom during class time.
Parents are prohibited from entering a class in progress. If your child needs to be removed from class early, please inform the teacher before class. If an emergency arises, please inform the front desk, and they will quietly bring your child to you. If you have other concerns please ask the front desk to pass a note onto the teacher and they will meet with you while on break, or after class. During the dance year, Dance Dynamics LLC will have parent’s week(s), which is a perfect time to view your child’s progress. Please refrain from standing in front of the classroom doors, standing in an open classroom doorway, or peeking through the door windows during class. For safety reasons, the doors must remain unobstructed at all times to allow clear access to and from the classroom.
Pick-Up: Parents please be prompt to pick your children up at the end of class. Teachers tend to have classes back to back, and we cannot babysit students. If they must wait, have them prepared ahead of time with some work to keep them occupied. The studio will not stay open more than 10 minutes after the last class of the evening. All dancers must stay inside the building until their ride arrives.
Performance/Costume Fees: Spring Performance: The entire studio participates in our Spring production. Costume Fees vary according to each class and will be due by Jan. 15, 2021. Performance Fee is $65.00per student and due by March 1, 2021. Performance fees help offset costs for the venue, ticket printing, program printing, backdrops, sets, lighting, and advertising related to the spring show. Each paid performance fee includes 1 admission ticket to the show or dress rehearsal, 2 student tickets for the entrance of the performer, and 2 mother tickets. Additional tickets will be available for purchase closer to the recital date and at the door. If you wish to pay installments, you may do so; however, we need post-dated checks to ensure costumes get ordered on time. There will be no refunds for costumes once ordered. All accounts must be up to date before performances, or your dancer will not be able to participate in the spring performance.
